John will delve into important legal tools for future planning. Topics include:

  1. Wills: Documents that specify how your assets should be distributed after your death. The attorney will explain how to create a Will and what it should include.
  2. Trusts: These are arrangements where a trustee holds assets on behalf of a beneficiary. The attorney will discuss different types of trusts and their benefits, such as avoiding probate and providing tax advantages.
  3. Probate: This is the legal process of administering a deceased person's Will. The attorney will explain how probate works and ways to simplify or avoid it.
  4. Health Care Proxy: Also known as a medical power of attorney, this allows you to appoint someone to make healthcare decisions if you're incapacitated.
  5. Life Estates: The attorney will explain life estates, where you can own property for the duration of your life and designate who gets it after your passing.

This session is ideal for understanding how to manage your assets and make informed decisions about end-of-life care and asset distribution.
